Experienced Superintendent

Join the Cornerstone Contracting Group team and lead the way in superior quality construction management and general contracting services in the metro Atlanta area. We’re looking for an experienced and self-motivated Superintendent to manage field operations and ensure the timely completion and exceptional quality of various commercial interior construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day field operations for all phases of construction, including scheduling, preparing daily reports, conducting safety meetings and safety inspections, and interfacing with Owners, Architects, Building Officials, and Subcontractors
  • Maintaining and managing project plans and schedules for commercial interior jobs
  • Utilizing Viewpoint Team platform for daily reports
  • Anticipating and resolving project issues and schedule difficulties, escalating when necessary
  • Directing and overseeing the work performed by sub-contractors and other external vendor resources
  • Conducting quality control inspections on all field work in progress
  • Actively reporting project issues, delays, status updates, and completion to the General Superintendent and Project Manager
  • Proactively participating (with current and accurate information) in weekly status meetings
  • Mentoring and inspiring fellow co-workers by setting expectations, consistent communication, and one-on-one development
  • Acting with integrity and demonstrating support for Cornerstone’s values and employees

Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge of the commercial interior trades industry
  • Knowledge of Viewpoint Team is a major plus
  • Experience with using iOS devices
  • Hands-on experience in managing commercial interior construction projects
  • Experience managing complex projects through to successful completion
  • Strong track record of building respectful relationships with both internal and external team members, vendors, direct reports, and leadership
  • Passionate problem solver who is proactive, reliable, and resourceful
  • Strong communicator, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work well under pressure, self-manage, and set an example for others

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • College degree a plus but not required
  • An up-to-date MVR will be required on the day of the interview
  • Excellent Communicator, both verbal and written
  • Unrelenting attention to detail with an eye for accuracy and consistency
  • Ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of people
  • Strong presentation skills
