Description
Thanks to general contractor Cornerstone’s expertise, VACO’s new offices at South Terraces were successfully transformed despite the unique challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. The project, which involved selective demolition and new construction, required significant adaptations to maintain the high-quality standards VACO expected. Despite the obstacles, Cornerstone rose to the challenge, demonstrating our expertise and adaptability. To ensure effective communication and smooth project tracking, Cornerstone implemented innovative solutions such as virtual OAC meetings and daily progress logs. This proactive approach not only kept the project on schedule but also showcased the team’s resilience and commitment to client satisfaction, even in the most uncertain times.
The new VACO office blends openness with privacy, creating a flexible work environment that caters to diverse needs. Expansive open office areas are complemented by smaller meeting rooms and updated conference facilities, allowing for seamless transitions between collaborative work and private discussions. The welcoming reception area and updated breakroom offer employees a relaxing space to recharge, contributing to the overall well-being of the workforce.
One of the standout features of the design is its emphasis on natural light. Expansive windows and glass partitions not only brighten the space but also provide stunning views of the city skyline, creating a vibrant and energizing atmosphere. Special touches, such as the moss wall in the entrance area, bring a biophilic element to the modern design, adding a unique and refreshing touch to the space. Open-to-structure ceilings and new LED lighting fixtures enhance the contemporary feel, making the office environment both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
