Cornerstone provided preliminary budgets based on schematic drawings for this renovation for B&R Industrial Automation. Upon final award, the project became a design-build effort, with Cornerstone advising the client about how changes would impact their budget and schedule. B&R, an international company, scheduled the final reveal as a grand opening for their overseas corporate executives. Cornerstone’s weekly progress meetings with the property manager and B&R helped manage project changes to ensure the project schedule was maintained and the project was completed on time.
A heavy furniture package and automation equipment package had to be properly coordinated to ensure subcontracted work did not interfere with the international shipments. Notable project features included a DIRRT glass wall system, a DIRRT-raised floor system, and new men’s and women’s restrooms. Cornerstone resolved a potential conflict and avoided costly delays after an exterior water line tie-in for the new restrooms led to the discovery of a pre-existing crack in the sewage main that needed repairs. As part of Cornerstone’s commitment to deliver high quality customer service, we provided preconstruction services throughout the project to meet the client’s needs, desires, and budgets.
